8 Long Awaited Rap Reunions

What could possibly be better than having your favorite musicians from your youth rejoin forces and come back in a big way?  With recent news of some of the most prominent and influential hip hop groups burying their respective hatchets and coming back on the scene, we thought we would list some of the biggest and most exciting reunions of the last few years.

1. NWA

Arguably the most controversial crew in rap history, NWA are back.  It has just been announced that Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella will be touring once again.  What about the late Eazy E? Well, he will be replaced by Eminem. We don't think anyone will be mad about that.

2. Outkast

In 2014, the hip hop world was buzzing about the return of Big Boi and Andre 3000. After headlining dozens of festival spots across the globe, they have retreated once again from the forefront, but hopefully this won't be the last we've heard of Outkast.

3. Jurassic 5

After the hit album Power In Numbers, Chali 2na, Mark 7, Soup, Akil, Cut Chemist and DJ Nu Mark amicably went there separate ways.  Lucky for indie hip hop heads around the world, since their 2012 Coachella show, they've been doing small tours here and there and there seems to be no end in sight.

4. Bad Meets Evil

After coming up together and making some of their best music with eachother, the tagteam of Royce Da 59 and Eminem parted ways. Luckily, in 2011 they rejoined forces to release Hell The Sequel and have been touring ever since.

5. Run DMC

After the tragic passing of the legendary Jam Master Jay, Rev Run and DMC have come together again to play shows here and there and create awareness for both JMJ's legacy and his foundation.

6. Wu Tang Clan

The Wu Tang have been on a couple hiatuses, either from recording or touring - and lucky for rap fans worldwide, they keep coming back.  The more time that passes the more exciting it is to see arguably one of the best super groups in music history.

7. EPMD

After a tumultuous past, Erick Sermon and Parish Smith aka EPMD are back to making dollars together. Which is lucky for all of us, who absolutely love their rugged New York City brand of classic hip hop.

8. 2 Live Crew

The crew that was banned from TV and pretty much everything else in their time have recently resurfaced to start rocking crowds and shaking butts across the globe.
